﴿كَذَٰلِكَ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ فِيٓ أُمَّةٖ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِهَآ أُمَمٞ لِّتَتۡلُوَاْ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ وَهُمۡ يَكۡفُرُونَ بِٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۚ قُلۡ هُوَ رَبِّي لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُ وَإِلَيۡهِ مَتَابِ ﴾
[الرَّعد: 30]
﴿كذلك أرسلناك في أمة قد خلت من قبلها أمم لتتلو عليهم الذي﴾ [الرَّعد: 30]
| Shabbir Ahmed (O Messenger), We have sent you as We sent the Messengers before you so that you convey to them what We reveal to you, for in their ignorance, they deny the Most Gracious. Say, "He is my Lord, there is no deity except Him. In Him I put my trust and to Him is my recourse |
| Syed Vickar Ahamed Thus have We sent you (O Prophet!) within a people before whom (other) peoples have (gone and) passed away; So that you may repeat to them what We send down to you by inspiration; Yet they reject (Him), the Most Gracious (Ar-Rahman)! Say: "He is my Lord! There is no god but He, my trust is upon Him and (only) to Him I turn |
| Talal A Itani New Translation Thus We sent you among a community before which other communities have passed away, that you may recite to them what We revealed to you. Yet they deny the Benevolent One. Say, 'He is my Lord; there is no god but He; in Him I trust, and to Him is my repentance |
