Quran with English_Arabic translation - Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 126 - البَقَرَة - Page - Juz 1
﴿وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمُ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَلۡ هَٰذَا بَلَدًا ءَامِنٗا وَٱرۡزُقۡ أَهۡلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ مِنۡهُم بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِۚ قَالَ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَأُمَتِّعُهُۥ قَلِيلٗا ثُمَّ أَضۡطَرُّهُۥٓ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلنَّارِۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 126]
﴿وإذ قال إبراهيم رب اجعل هذا بلدا آمنا وارزق أهله من الثمرات﴾ [البَقَرَة: 126]
Shabbir Ahmed Abraham prayed, "My Lord! Make this land peaceful and secure, and provide its people with fruits of Your Blessings. Provide for those who believe in Allah and in the Last Day." He answered, "I will also provide for him who thanklessly rejects the blessed guidance and let him enjoy life for a while. (But since he coveted instant gratification only and disregarded the long term), then, after that I will commit him to the suffering of Fire." And what a miserable destination it is after wandering through the journey of life! ((14:37), (17:18-20), (2) |
Syed Vickar Ahamed And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said: "My Lord, make this a City of Peace, and feed its People with fruits, — Such of those who believe in Allah and the Last Day." He (his Lord) said: "(Yes), and for such as those who reject Faith— I grant them their pleasure for a while, but will soon drive them to the punishment of Fire— An evil destination (indeed) |

God said, "As for those who deny the truth, I will grant them benefits for a short while and then subject them to the punishment of the Fire -- an evil destination |
