﴿۞ سَيَقُولُ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَا وَلَّىٰهُمۡ عَن قِبۡلَتِهِمُ ٱلَّتِي كَانُواْ عَلَيۡهَاۚ قُل لِّلَّهِ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقُ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبُۚ يَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 142]
﴿سيقول السفهاء من الناس ما ولاهم عن قبلتهم التي كانوا عليها قل﴾ [البَقَرَة: 142]
| Shabbir Ahmed The people of little understanding will say, "What has turned them from the Center of Devotion (Jerusalem) which people formerly observed? Say, "The East and the West belong to Allah." He shows the Straight Path to him who wills to be shown it |
| Syed Vickar Ahamed The foolish ones among the men, will say: "What has turned them (the believers) away from their Qibla (the direction of prayer) that they were used to praying?" Say: "To Allah belong both the East and West: He guides whom He will to the Straight Path |
