﴿بَلۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِمَا لَمۡ يُحِيطُواْ بِعِلۡمِهِۦ وَلَمَّا يَأۡتِهِمۡ تَأۡوِيلُهُۥۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۖ فَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[يُونس: 39]
﴿بل كذبوا بما لم يحيطوا بعلمه ولما يأتهم تأويله كذلك كذب الذين﴾ [يُونس: 39]
| Abdel Haleem But they are denying what they cannot comprehend- its prophecy has yet to be fulfilled for them. In the same way, those before them refused to believe- see what was the end of those evildoers |
| Abdul Hye Nay, they deny the knowledge which they cannot comprehend and the interpretation of it has not yet fulfilled (seen). (In the same way) those before them did deny. Then see how the end of the wrongdoers was |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Nay, they charge with falsehood that whose knowledge they cannot compass, even before the elucidation thereof hath reached them: thus did those before them make charges of falsehood: but see what was the end of those who did wrong |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Aye! they have belied that of which the knowledge they comprehended not and of which the fulfilment hath not come to them. Likewise belied those who were before them; behold then in what wise hath been the end of the wrongdoers |
