﴿بَلۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِمَا لَمۡ يُحِيطُواْ بِعِلۡمِهِۦ وَلَمَّا يَأۡتِهِمۡ تَأۡوِيلُهُۥۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۖ فَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[يُونس: 39]
﴿بل كذبوا بما لم يحيطوا بعلمه ولما يأتهم تأويله كذلك كذب الذين﴾ [يُونس: 39]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al No, they charge with falsehood him whose knowledge they cannot encompass, even before the understanding of it has reached them. And those before them made similar charges of falsehood. Then consider what the end of those who did wrong was |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad No, but they denied that which they did not have knowledge of it, and its interpretation (of its events) have not come to them. Those before them also denied like that. So see what the end of the wrongdoers was |
Ali Quli Qarai Indeed, they deny something whose knowledge they do not comprehend, and whose explanation has not yet come to them. Those who were before them denied likewise. So observe how was the fate of the wrongdoers |
Ali Unal No (they are not truthful in their doubt and claim), but they have denied a thing (the Qur’an) whose knowledge they could not encompass and whose exposition (through the fulfillment of its promises and threats) has not reached them. Even so did those who were before them deny (the Books sent to them). So look! how was the outcome for the wrong-doers (who judged and acted wrongly) |

Literal But they lied/denied/falsified with what they did not comprehend with its knowledge, and its interpretation/explanation did not come to them, as/like those from before them lied/denied/falsified, so look/see how the unjusts`/oppressives` end/turn was |
