﴿قَالُوٓاْ أَضۡغَٰثُ أَحۡلَٰمٖۖ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِتَأۡوِيلِ ٱلۡأَحۡلَٰمِ بِعَٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 44]
﴿قالوا أضغاث أحلام وما نحن بتأويل الأحلام بعالمين﴾ [يُوسُف: 44]
| Abdel Haleem They said, ‘These are confusing dreams and we are not skilled at dream-interpretation,’ |
| Abdul Hye They said: “Mixed up false dreams and we are not skilled in interpretation of dreams.” |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali They said: "A confused medley of dreams: and we are not skilled in the interpretation of dreams |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi They said: medleys of dreams! and in the interpretation of dreams we are not skilled |
| Ahmed Ali They were only confused dreams," they said; "we do not know how to interpret them |
| Aisha Bewley They said, ´A jumbled mass of mixed-up dreams! We do not know the meaning of such things.´ |
| A. J. Arberry A hotchpotch of nightmares!' they said. 'We know nothing of the interpretation of nightmares |
