﴿۞ أَتَأۡمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلۡبِرِّ وَتَنسَوۡنَ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ تَتۡلُونَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 44]
﴿أتأمرون الناس بالبر وتنسون أنفسكم وأنتم تتلون الكتاب أفلا تعقلون﴾ [البَقَرَة: 44]
| Abdel Haleem How can you tell people to do what is right and forget to do it yourselves, even though you recite the Scripture? Have you no sense |
| Abdul Hye Do you enjoin piety and righteousness on the people, and forget (to practice) yourselves when you recite the scripture? Don’t you understand |
