﴿أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةٗۖ قُلۡ هَاتُواْ بُرۡهَٰنَكُمۡۖ هَٰذَا ذِكۡرُ مَن مَّعِيَ وَذِكۡرُ مَن قَبۡلِيۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ٱلۡحَقَّۖ فَهُم مُّعۡرِضُونَ ﴾
[الأنبيَاء: 24]
﴿أم اتخذوا من دونه آلهة قل هاتوا برهانكم هذا ذكر من معي﴾ [الأنبيَاء: 24]
| Abdel Haleem Have they chosen to worship other gods instead of Him? Say, ‘Bring your proof. This is the Scripture for those who are with me and the Scripture for those who went before me.’ But most of them do not recognize the truth, so they pay no heed |
| Abdul Hye Or have they taken other deities for worship besides Him? Say: “Bring your proof. This (the Qur’an) is a reminder for those who are with me and reminder for those before me.” But most of them don’t know the truth, so they are reluctant |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Or have they taken for worship (other) gods besides him? Say, "Bring your convincing proof: this is the Message of those with me and the Message of those before me." But most of them know not the Truth, and so turn away |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Have they taken gods beside Him? Say thou: forth with your proof This is an admonition unto those with me and an admonition unto those before me. But most of them knew not the truth, and so they are averters |
