﴿وَلَقَدۡ أَنزَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكُمۡ ءَايَٰتٖ مُّبَيِّنَٰتٖ وَمَثَلٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوۡاْ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ وَمَوۡعِظَةٗ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ ﴾
[النور: 34]
﴿ولقد أنـزلنا إليكم آيات مبينات ومثلا من الذين خلوا من قبلكم وموعظة﴾ [النور: 34]
| Abdel Haleem We have sent verses down to you [people] clarifying the right path, examples of those who passed away before you, and advice for those who are mindful of God |
| Abdul Hye And indeed We have sent down clear Verses to you, examples of those who passed away before you, and an admonition for the pious |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali We have already sent down to you verses making things clear, an illustration from (the story of) people who passed away before you, and an admonition for those who fear (Allah) |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi And assuredly We have sent down unto you revelations illuminating and a similitude for those who passed away before you and an exhortation unto the God-fearing |
| Ahmed Ali We have sent down clear instructions to you, and illustrations from (the accounts) of those who have gone before you, and a warning for those who take heed for themselves |
