﴿أَفِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ أَمِ ٱرۡتَابُوٓاْ أَمۡ يَخَافُونَ أَن يَحِيفَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَرَسُولُهُۥۚ بَلۡ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ﴾
[النور: 50]
﴿أفي قلوبهم مرض أم ارتابوا أم يخافون أن يحيف الله عليهم ورسوله﴾ [النور: 50]
Abdel Haleem Do they have sickness in their hearts? Are they full of doubts? Do they fear that God and His Messenger might deal with them unjustly? No, it is they who are the unjust ones |
Abdul Hye Is there a disease in their hearts? Or do they doubt or fear lest Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad) should wrong them in judgment? Nay, it is they who are the wrongdoers |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali Is it that there is a disease in their hearts? or do they doubt, or are they in fear, that Allah and His Messenger will deal unjustly with them? Nay, it is they themselves who do wrong |
