﴿۞ إِذۡ تُصۡعِدُونَ وَلَا تَلۡوُۥنَ عَلَىٰٓ أَحَدٖ وَٱلرَّسُولُ يَدۡعُوكُمۡ فِيٓ أُخۡرَىٰكُمۡ فَأَثَٰبَكُمۡ غَمَّۢا بِغَمّٖ لِّكَيۡلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا مَآ أَصَٰبَكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[آل عِمران: 153]
﴿إذ تصعدون ولا تلوون على أحد والرسول يدعوكم في أخراكم فأثابكم غما﴾ [آل عِمران: 153]
Abdel Haleem You fled without looking back while the Messenger was calling out to you from behind, and God rewarded you with sorrow for sorrow. [He has now forgiven you] so that you may not grieve for what you missed or for what happened to you. God is well aware of everything you do |
Abdul Hye (Remember) when you were running away (flee to hills) without even looking a glace at anyone, and the Messenger (Muhammad) was calling you back in your rear. Allah gave you grief for grief (to teach lesson) so that you may neither grief over what you escaped, nor on (misfortune) which had befallen you. Allah is Well-Aware of what you do |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali Behold! ye were climbing up the high ground, without even casting a side glance at any one, and the Messenger in your rear was calling you back. There did Allah give you one distress after another by way of requital, to teach you not to grieve for (the booty) that had escaped you and for (the ill) that had befallen you. For Allah is well aware of all that ye do |
