﴿وَأَنزَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَٰهَرُوهُم مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مِن صَيَاصِيهِمۡ وَقَذَفَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلرُّعۡبَ فَرِيقٗا تَقۡتُلُونَ وَتَأۡسِرُونَ فَرِيقٗا ﴾
[الأحزَاب: 26]
﴿وأنـزل الذين ظاهروهم من أهل الكتاب من صياصيهم وقذف في قلوبهم الرعب﴾ [الأحزَاب: 26]
| Abdel Haleem He brought those People of the Book who supported them down from their strongholds and put panic into their hearts. Some of them you [believers] killed and some you took captive |
| Abdul Hye Those people of the Scripture (Jews of Bani Quraizah) who backed them (the invaders); Allah brought them down from their forts and cast fear into their hearts. So a group you killed and a group you made captives |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali And those of the People of the Book who aided them - Allah did take them down from their strongholds and cast terror into their hearts. (So that) some ye slew, and some ye made prisoners |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi And He brought those of the people of the Book who backed them down from their fortresses and cast into their hearts terror; a part of them ye slew, and ye made captives a part |
