﴿أَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ فَرَءَاهُ حَسَنٗاۖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُۖ فَلَا تَذۡهَبۡ نَفۡسُكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَسَرَٰتٍۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمُۢ بِمَا يَصۡنَعُونَ ﴾
[فَاطِر: 8]
﴿أفمن زين له سوء عمله فرآه حسنا فإن الله يضل من يشاء﴾ [فَاطِر: 8]
| Abdel Haleem What about those whose evil deeds are made alluring to them so that they think they are good? God leaves whoever He will to stray and guides whoever He will. [Prophet], do not waste your soul away with regret for them: God knows exactly what they do |
| Abdul Hye Can those (be guided), to whom their evil deeds made fair seeming, so that they consider them good? Surely, Allah sends astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So don’t destroy yourself (O Muhammad) for them in sorrow. Truly, Allah is the All-Knower of what they do |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Is he, then, to whom the evil of his conduct is made alluring, so that he looks upon it as good, (equal to one who is rightly guided)? For Allah leaves to stray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So let not thy soul go out in (vainly) sighing after them: for Allah knows well all that they do |
