﴿إِنَّ هَٰذَآ أَخِي لَهُۥ تِسۡعٞ وَتِسۡعُونَ نَعۡجَةٗ وَلِيَ نَعۡجَةٞ وَٰحِدَةٞ فَقَالَ أَكۡفِلۡنِيهَا وَعَزَّنِي فِي ٱلۡخِطَابِ ﴾
[صٓ: 23]
﴿إن هذا أخي له تسع وتسعون نعجة ولي نعجة واحدة فقال أكفلنيها﴾ [صٓ: 23]
| Abdel Haleem This is my brother. He had ninety-nine ewes and I just the one, and he said, “Let me take charge of her,” and overpowered me with his words.’ |
| Abdul Hye Surely, this is my brother (in religion), he has 99 ewes (female sheep), while I have only one ewe. Yet he says: ‘Hand it over to me, and he overpowered me in speech.’” |
