﴿وَإِذَا ضَرَبۡتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَلَيۡسَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَقۡصُرُواْ مِنَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ إِنۡ خِفۡتُمۡ أَن يَفۡتِنَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْۚ إِنَّ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ كَانُواْ لَكُمۡ عَدُوّٗا مُّبِينٗا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 101]
﴿وإذا ضربتم في الأرض فليس عليكم جناح أن تقصروا من الصلاة إن﴾ [النِّسَاء: 101]
Abdel Haleem When you [believers] are travelling in the land, you will not be blamed for shortening your prayers, if you fear the disbelievers may harm you: they are your sworn enemies |
Abdul Hye When you travel in the earth, there is no sin on you to shorten your prayer if you fear that those who have disbelieved will harm you. Surely, the disbelievers are for you open enemies |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali When ye travel through the earth, there is no blame on you if ye shorten your prayers, for fear the Unbelievers May attack you: For the Unbelievers are unto you open enemies |
