﴿وَءَاتُواْ ٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰٓ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡۖ وَلَا تَتَبَدَّلُواْ ٱلۡخَبِيثَ بِٱلطَّيِّبِۖ وَلَا تَأۡكُلُوٓاْ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡ إِلَىٰٓ أَمۡوَٰلِكُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حُوبٗا كَبِيرٗا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 2]
﴿وآتوا اليتامى أموالهم ولا تتبدلوا الخبيث بالطيب ولا تأكلوا أموالهم إلى أموالكم﴾ [النِّسَاء: 2]
Abdel Haleem Give orphans their property, do not replace [their] good things with bad, and do not consume their property with your own- a great sin |
Abdul Hye And give orphans their wealth (when they are able to handle), don’t exchange your bad things for their good ones, and don’t devour their wealth by adding it to your wealth. Surely, this is a great sin |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali To orphans restore their property (When they reach their age), nor substitute (your) worthless things for (their) good ones; and devour not their substance (by mixing it up) with your own. For this is indeed a great sin |
