Quran with English translation - Surah An-Nisa’ ayat 2 - النِّسَاء - Page - Juz 4
﴿وَءَاتُواْ ٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰٓ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡۖ وَلَا تَتَبَدَّلُواْ ٱلۡخَبِيثَ بِٱلطَّيِّبِۖ وَلَا تَأۡكُلُوٓاْ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡ إِلَىٰٓ أَمۡوَٰلِكُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حُوبٗا كَبِيرٗا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 2]
﴿وآتوا اليتامى أموالهم ولا تتبدلوا الخبيث بالطيب ولا تأكلوا أموالهم إلى أموالكم﴾ [النِّسَاء: 2]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al To orphans return their property, and do not substitute worthless things for their valuable ones. And do not take their sustenance by mixing it up with your own, for this is a great sin indeed |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Give the orphans their properties and do not substitute the bad for the good, and do not eat up their properties with your properties, as it is a great sin |
Ali Quli Qarai Give the orphans their property, and do not replace the good with the bad, and do not eat up their property [by mingling it] with your own property, for that is indeed a great sin |
Ali Unal Restore their property to the orphans (in your custody, when they come of age), and do not exchange the corrupt for the good (the unlawful for the lawful), nor consume their property by mixing it up with your own. For doing that would be a great crime (whereby you risk the spiritual reward you hope for by caring for them) |
Hamid S Aziz And give unto the orphans their property, and give them not the vile in exchange for the good, and devour not their property into your own property; verily, that would be a great sin |
