﴿وَسۡـَٔلۡ مَنۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَآ أَجَعَلۡنَا مِن دُونِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ءَالِهَةٗ يُعۡبَدُونَ ﴾
[الزُّخرُف: 45]
﴿واسأل من أرسلنا من قبلك من رسلنا أجعلنا من دون الرحمن آلهة﴾ [الزُّخرُف: 45]
| Abdel Haleem Ask the prophets We sent before you: ‘Did We ever appoint any gods to be worshipped besides the Lord of Mercy?’ |
| Abdul Hye And ask (O Muhammad) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: “Did We ever appoint any other one worthy of worship to be worshipped besides the Beneficent (Allah)?” |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped |
