﴿لَئِنۡ أُخۡرِجُواْ لَا يَخۡرُجُونَ مَعَهُمۡ وَلَئِن قُوتِلُواْ لَا يَنصُرُونَهُمۡ وَلَئِن نَّصَرُوهُمۡ لَيُوَلُّنَّ ٱلۡأَدۡبَٰرَ ثُمَّ لَا يُنصَرُونَ ﴾
[الحَشر: 12]
﴿لئن أخرجوا لا يخرجون معهم ولئن قوتلوا لا ينصرونهم ولئن نصروهم ليولن﴾ [الحَشر: 12]
Abdel Haleem if they are driven out, they will never leave with them; if they are attacked, they will never help them. Even if they did come to their aid, they would soon turn tail and flee- in the end they would have no help |
Abdul Hye Surely, if they (people of the book) are expelled, they (hypocrites) will never go out with them, and if they are attacked, they will never help them. Even if they help them, they (hypocrites) will turn their backs; so they will not be victorious |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali If they are expelled, never will they go out with them; and if they are attacked (in fight), they will never help them; and if they do help them, they will turn their backs; so they will receive no help |
