﴿وَإِذَا لَمۡ تَأۡتِهِم بِـَٔايَةٖ قَالُواْ لَوۡلَا ٱجۡتَبَيۡتَهَاۚ قُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَتَّبِعُ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيَّ مِن رَّبِّيۚ هَٰذَا بَصَآئِرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٞ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 203]
﴿وإذا لم تأتهم بآية قالوا لولا اجتبيتها قل إنما أتبع ما يوحى﴾ [الأعرَاف: 203]
| Abdel Haleem When you do not bring them a fresh revelation, they say, ‘But can you not just ask for one?’ Say, ‘I merely repeat what is revealed to me from my Lord: this revelation brings you insights from your Lord, and guidance and mercy for those who believe |
| Abdul Hye If you (O Muhammad) don’t bring them a miracle, they say: “Why have you not invented one?” Say: “I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord. This (the Qur’an) insight is from your Lord, and Guidance and Mercy for people who believe.” |
