﴿لَقَدِ ٱبۡتَغَوُاْ ٱلۡفِتۡنَةَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَقَلَّبُواْ لَكَ ٱلۡأُمُورَ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَظَهَرَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَهُمۡ كَٰرِهُونَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 48]
﴿لقد ابتغوا الفتنة من قبل وقلبوا لك الأمور حتى جاء الحق وظهر﴾ [التوبَة: 48]
| Abdel Haleem Indeed, they had tried before that to stir up discord: they devised plots against you [Prophet] until the truth was exposed and God’s will triumphed, much to their disgust |
| Abdul Hye Surely, they had plotted sedition before, and had upset matters for you, until the truth (victory) came and the Decree of Allah (Islam) became clear though they hated it |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Indeed they had plotted sedition before, and upset matters for thee, until,- the Truth arrived, and the Decree of Allah became manifest much to their disgust |
