﴿۞ وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمۡ صَٰلِحٗاۚ قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَٰهٍ غَيۡرُهُۥۖ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱسۡتَعۡمَرَكُمۡ فِيهَا فَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي قَرِيبٞ مُّجِيبٞ ﴾
[هُود: 61]
﴿وإلى ثمود أخاهم صالحا قال ياقوم اعبدوا الله ما لكم من إله﴾ [هُود: 61]
| Dr Kamal Omar And to Samud (the word refers to a particular Arab nation) their brother Salih (was sent as a Messenger). He said: “O my nation! Pay obedience to Allah. (There is) not for you out of a god other than Him. He brought you forth from the earth and settled you therein; then ask forgiveness of Him, then turn to Him in repentance. Certainly, my Nourisher-Sustainer is Near (to all by His love), Responsive.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And We sent to Thamud their brother Salih. He said: O my folk! Worship God. You have no god other than He. He caused you to grow from the earth and settled you on it. So ask for His forgiveness. Again, repent to Him. Truly, my Lord is Near, One Who Answers |
