﴿أَمۡ تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَسۡـَٔلُواْ رَسُولَكُمۡ كَمَا سُئِلَ مُوسَىٰ مِن قَبۡلُۗ وَمَن يَتَبَدَّلِ ٱلۡكُفۡرَ بِٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ فَقَدۡ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 108]
﴿أم تريدون أن تسألوا رسولكم كما سئل موسى من قبل ومن يتبدل﴾ [البَقَرَة: 108]
Dr Kamal Omar Do you intend that you may question your Messenger as Musa was questioned in times before? And he who changes Faith for disbelief, verily, he has lost rightness of the path |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Or want you that you ask your Messenger as Moses was asked before? And whoever takes disbelief in exchange for belief, then, surely, he went astray from the right way |
Dr Munir Munshey Would you ask your messenger the same sort of questions Musa was asked earlier? In fact, anyone who chooses disbelief over faith has strayed far away from the right way |
Edward Henry Palmer Do ye wish to question your apostle as Moses was questioned aforetime? but whoso takes misbelief in exchange for faith has erred from the level road |
Farook Malik Do you intend to ask questions from your Messenger (Muhammad) as Moses was questioned before? But whoever barters belief for unbelief, has indeed lost the direction of the Right Way |
George Sale Will ye require of your Apostle according to that which was formerly required of Moses? But he that hath exchanged faith for infidelity, hath already erred from the strait way |
Maududi Would you then ask your Prophet such questions as were asked of Moses in former times? In fact, anyone, who changes the way of belief for that of disbelief, has surely swerved from the Right way |
