﴿ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيۡتُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَۖ فَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ لَكُنتُم مِّنَ ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 64]
﴿ثم توليتم من بعد ذلك فلولا فضل الله عليكم ورحمته لكنتم من﴾ [البَقَرَة: 64]
| Dr Kamal Omar Then you turned back thereafter. Had it not been for the grace and mercy of Allah upon you, indeed you would have been among the losers |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Again, after that you turned away, and if it were not for the grace of God on you, and His mercy certainly, you would have been among the ones who are losers |
| Dr Munir Munshey But, even then you (ignored and) turned away. Had it not been for the favors of Allah upon you, and His grace, you would have been the losers (long ago) |

| Maududi But even after that you forsook the Covenant: nevertheless Allah did not withhold His grace and mercy from you; otherwise you would have been utterly ruined long before this |
