﴿وَلَئِن مَّسَّتۡهُمۡ نَفۡحَةٞ مِّنۡ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَٰوَيۡلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[الأنبيَاء: 46]
﴿ولئن مستهم نفحة من عذاب ربك ليقولن ياويلنا إنا كنا ظالمين﴾ [الأنبيَاء: 46]
Dr Kamal Omar And surely, if (even) a breath out of the torment of your Nourisher-Sustainer touched them, indeed they will cry out:'Woe unto us, certainly we have been transgressors |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And if a breath afflicted them of punishment of thy Lord, they would, surely, say: O woe to us! Truly, we had been ones who are unjust |
Dr Munir Munshey Even if a whiff of Our punishment were to hit them, they would surely cry out, "Oh misery to us, we were indeed the evil doers |
Edward Henry Palmer But if a blast of the torment of thy Lord touches them, they will surely say, 'O, woe is us! verily, we were wrong-doers |
Farook Malik Yet even if a breath from the Wrath of your Lord was to touch them, they will certainly say, "Woe to us! No doubt we were wrongdoers |
George Sale Yet if the least breath of the punishment of thy Lord touch them, they will surely say, alas for us! Verily we have been unjust |
Maududi Were only the slightest whiff from your Lord´s punishment to touch them, they would cry out: "Woe to us; we were indeed wrong-doers |
