﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ قُل لِّأَزۡوَٰجِكَ إِن كُنتُنَّ تُرِدۡنَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَزِينَتَهَا فَتَعَالَيۡنَ أُمَتِّعۡكُنَّ وَأُسَرِّحۡكُنَّ سَرَاحٗا جَمِيلٗا ﴾
[الأحزَاب: 28]
﴿ياأيها النبي قل لأزواجك إن كنتن تردن الحياة الدنيا وزينتها فتعالين أمتعكن﴾ [الأحزَاب: 28]
| Dr Kamal Omar O you An-Nabi (The Prophet)! Say to your consorts: “If you had been desiring the life of this world, and its glitter, then come along! I will make a provision for you and I will break the (marital) link with you in a very graceful delinhead of state |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar O Prophet! Say to thy spouses: If you had been wanting this present life and its adornment, then, approach now. I will give you enjoyment and set you (f) free, releasing gracefully |
| Dr Munir Munshey Oh prophet! Tell your wives, "If you desire the life of this world and its decor, then say so. I will grant you your freedom and provide for you generously |

| George Sale O prophet, say unto thy wives, if ye seek this present life, and the pomp thereof, come, I will make a handsome provision for you, and I will dismiss you with an honourable dismission |
