﴿۞ لَّئِن لَّمۡ يَنتَهِ ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٞ وَٱلۡمُرۡجِفُونَ فِي ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ لَنُغۡرِيَنَّكَ بِهِمۡ ثُمَّ لَا يُجَاوِرُونَكَ فِيهَآ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا ﴾
[الأحزَاب: 60]
﴿لئن لم ينته المنافقون والذين في قلوبهم مرض والمرجفون في المدينة لنغرينك﴾ [الأحزَاب: 60]
Dr Kamal Omar If the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is an ailment, and those who cause agitation in Al-Madinah desist not, We shall certainly make you overpower them, then they will not dwell therein as your neighbours except for a very small (period) |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar If the ones who are hypocrites refrain not themselves and those who in their hearts is a sickness and the ones who make a commotion in the city, We will stir thee up against them. Again, they will not be thy neighbors in it, but a little while |
Dr Munir Munshey The hypocrites and those with a disease (of doubt) in their hearts must quit spreading false rumors in the town (Medina). Otherwise, We will most certainly rouse you into action against them. Then they will not remain your neighbors in this town much longer |

George Sale Verily if the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is an infirmity, and they who raise disturbances in Medina, do not desist; we will surely stir thee up against them, to chastise them: Henceforth they shall not be suffered to dwell near thee therein, except for a little time |
Maududi If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts there is a sickness, and the scandal mongers in Madinah do not desist from their vile acts, We shall urge you to take action against them, and then they will hardly be able to stay in the city with you |
