﴿وَجَعَلُواْ بَيۡنَهُۥ وَبَيۡنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ نَسَبٗاۚ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمَتِ ٱلۡجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ ﴾
[الصَّافَات: 158]
﴿وجعلوا بينه وبين الجنة نسبا ولقد علمت الجنة إنهم لمحضرون﴾ [الصَّافَات: 158]
| Dr Kamal Omar And (the misguided) people have invented between Him and between jinns a genealogical link, although surely, indeed the jinns knew (that) out of a certainty they will surely be those who have been brought (before Allah for Accountability) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And they made kindred between him and between the genies. But, surely, the genies knew well that they were ones who will be charged |
| Dr Munir Munshey They conjure up kinship between Him and the jinn. But (all) jinn are well aware that the evildoers will have to appear before Him (for reckoning) |
| Edward Henry Palmer And they made him to be related to the ginns, while the ginns know that they shall be arraigned |
| Farook Malik They assert blood- relationship between Him and the jinns; and the jinns know quite well that they will be called to account |
| George Sale And they make Him to be of kin unto the genii; whereas the genii know that they who affirm such things, shall be delivered up to eternal punishment |
| Maududi They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits) |
