﴿أَفَمَنۡ حَقَّ عَلَيۡهِ كَلِمَةُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ أَفَأَنتَ تُنقِذُ مَن فِي ٱلنَّارِ ﴾
[الزُّمَر: 19]
﴿أفمن حق عليه كلمة العذاب أفأنت تنقذ من في النار﴾ [الزُّمَر: 19]
Dr Kamal Omar Is then that against whom the statement of punishment has become justified, (equal to one who has remained obedient to the Teachings in Al-Kitab)? Will you then rescue that who is in the Fire |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Against whom was realized the word of punishment? Wilt thou be saving him from the fire |
Dr Munir Munshey The one who deserves the sentence of the (eternal) punishment (cannot be helped). Can you rescue the one who is (as good as) in the fire |

Farook Malik Is the one against whom the sentence of punishment has been decreed equal to the one who refrains from evil? Can you rescue the one who is in the fire? Of course not |

Maududi (O Prophet), can you save him (from chastisement) against whom the sentence of chastisement has become due; him who has, (as it were), already fallen into the Fire |
