Quran with Tafsir_English translation - Surah Fussilat ayat 39 - فُصِّلَت - Page - Juz 24
﴿وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنَّكَ تَرَى ٱلۡأَرۡضَ خَٰشِعَةٗ فَإِذَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهَا ٱلۡمَآءَ ٱهۡتَزَّتۡ وَرَبَتۡۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَحۡيَاهَا لَمُحۡيِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٌ ﴾
[فُصِّلَت: 39]
﴿ومن آياته أنك ترى الأرض خاشعة فإذا أنـزلنا عليها الماء اهتزت وربت﴾ [فُصِّلَت: 39]
| Dr Kamal Omar And among His Signs (is this), that you see the earth barren, but when We sent down over it (rain-) water, it stirred up to life and flourished. Surely, That Who revived it (becomes) a Sure Life-Giver for those who have died! Indeed, He is All-Capable over every thing |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And among His signs are that thou hast seen the earth as that which is humble. But when We caused water to descend to it, it quivered and swelled. Truly, He Who gives life to it is the One Who Gives Life to the dead. Truly, He is Powerful over everything |

| Maududi And of His Signs is that you see the earth withered, then We send down water upon it, and lo! it quivers and swells. Surely He Who gives life to the dead earth will also give life to the dead. Surely He has power over everything |
