﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱبۡتَغُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡوَسِيلَةَ وَجَٰهِدُواْ فِي سَبِيلِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 35]
﴿ياأيها الذين آمنوا اتقوا الله وابتغوا إليه الوسيلة وجاهدوا في سبيله لعلكم﴾ [المَائدة: 35]
| Dr Kamal Omar O you people who have Believed! Pay obedience to Allah and seek the linhead of state Factor leading to Him, and strive in His Way so that you may be successful |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar O those who believed! Be Godfearing of God and look for an approach to Him and struggle in His way so that perhaps you will prosper |
| Dr Munir Munshey Oh you who believe! Fear Allah (and be dutiful). Seek the means to get closer to Him; and strive your utmost for His cause. Perhaps, you will prosper |
| Edward Henry Palmer O ye who believe! fear God and crave the means to approach Him, and be strenuous in His way, haply ye will prosper then |
| Farook Malik O believers! Fear Allah and seek the means to be closer to Him and make Jihad (struggle) in His Way so that you may be successful |
| George Sale O true believers, fear God, and earnestly desire a near conjunction with Him, and fight for his religion, that ye may be happy |
| Maududi Believers! Fear Allah and seek the means to come near to Him, and strive hard in His way; maybe you will attain true success |
