﴿وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّبَعَتۡهُمۡ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَٰنٍ أَلۡحَقۡنَا بِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ وَمَآ أَلَتۡنَٰهُم مِّنۡ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيۡءٖۚ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيِٕۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٞ ﴾
[الطُّور: 21]
﴿والذين آمنوا واتبعتهم ذريتهم بإيمان ألحقنا بهم ذريتهم وما ألتناهم من عملهم﴾ [الطُّور: 21]
Dr Kamal Omar And those who have Believed and whose offspring followed them with Faith We did join to these their offspring; and We did not nullify from their deed any thing. Every individual, for what he has earned (in his worldly life,is) mortgaged |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And those who believed and their offspring who followed them in belief, We caused them to join their offspring. And We deprived them not of anything of their actions. Every man will be pledged for what he earned |
Dr Munir Munshey (As a favor) for those who believe, We will make their offspring _ those who followed them in faith _ join them (in paradise). Not a bit shall be reduced from the reward of their deeds. Each person is held in a pledge _ (a guarantee) _ against the deeds he (or she) earns. (Good deeds alone meet the obligation) |
Edward Henry Palmer And those who believe and whose seed follows them in the faith, we will unite their seed with them; and we will not cheat them of their work at all;- every man is pledged for what he earns |
Farook Malik We shall unite the true believers with those of their descendants who follow them in their faith, and shall not deny them the reward of their good deeds - everyone is responsible for his deeds |
George Sale And unto those who believe, and whose off-spring follow them in the faith, We will join their off-spring in paradise: And We will not diminish unto them ought of the merit of their works. -- Every man is given in pledge for that which he shall have wrought |
Maududi We shall unite the believers with those descendants of theirs who followed them in their faith, and shall not deny them any part of the reward for their good deeds. Every person is pledged to what he did |
