﴿لِلۡفُقَرَآءِ ٱلۡمُهَٰجِرِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُخۡرِجُواْ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمۡ وَأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ يَبۡتَغُونَ فَضۡلٗا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضۡوَٰنٗا وَيَنصُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصَّٰدِقُونَ ﴾
[الحَشر: 8]
﴿للفقراء المهاجرين الذين أخرجوا من ديارهم وأموالهم يبتغون فضلا من الله ورضوانا﴾ [الحَشر: 8]
| Dr Kamal Omar (And this Fai is also to be distributed) to the poor emigrants who were expelled from their homes and their possessions. They seek the Bounty from Allah and (His) pleasures; and they help Allah and His Messenger. Those people: they (very ones are) the truthful |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar For the poor who were of the ones who emigrate, those who were driven out from their abodes and their property, looking for grace from God and His contentment and they help God and His Messenger, there is also a share. Those, they are the ones who are sincere |
| Dr Munir Munshey (The booties are) for the poor immigrants who were driven out of their homes and (deprived of) their belongings, those who seek the bounties of Allah and His pleasures. They help (the cause of) Allah and His messenger! Such are truly the faithful ones |
| Edward Henry Palmer And (it is) for the poor who fled, who were driven forth from their houses and their wealth, who crave grace from God and His goodwill, and help God and the Apostle; they are the truthful |
| Farook Malik A share of the spoils shall be given to the indigent immigrants who were driven out of their homes and their possessions, and are seeking Allah’s grace and His good pleasure and who want to help Allah and His Messenger: such are indeed the true believers |
| George Sale A part also belongeth to the poor Mohajerin, who have been dispossessed of their houses and their substance, seeking favour from God, and his good will, and assisting God and his apostle. These are the men of veracity |
| Maududi It also belongs to the poor Emigrants who have been driven out of their homes and their possessions, those who seek Allah´s favour and good pleasure and help Allah and His Messenger. Such are the truthful ones |
