﴿وَقَالُواْ مَا فِي بُطُونِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ خَالِصَةٞ لِّذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِنَاۖ وَإِن يَكُن مَّيۡتَةٗ فَهُمۡ فِيهِ شُرَكَآءُۚ سَيَجۡزِيهِمۡ وَصۡفَهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٞ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 139]
﴿وقالوا ما في بطون هذه الأنعام خالصة لذكورنا ومحرم على أزواجنا وإن﴾ [الأنعَام: 139]
| Dr Kamal Omar And they said: “What is in the bellies of such and such cattle (is permissible) only to our males and forbidden to our (female) consorts. " But if it (i.e., the product in the womb of the slaughtered animal) happens to be in a dead condition then they (all) therein are sharers. Soon He will ‘reward’ them (with necessary punishment) for their (false) attribution (to Allah). Verily, He is All-Wise, All-Aware |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And they said: What is in the bellies of these flocks is exclusively for our males and is that which is forbidden to our female spouses, but if it would be born dead, then, they are ascribed as associates in it. He will give recompense to them for their allegations. Truly, He is Wise, Knowing |
| Dr Munir Munshey They Say, "The yield of certain cattle _ (be it milk or calf) _ is reserved for our males and is forbidden for our females." Yet men and women can both share the calf, if it is born dead. Soon We will punish them for all they (falsely) attribute (to Him). Indeed, He is the Wisest, the most Aware |

| Maududi And they say: ´What is within the bellies of such-and-such cattle is exclusively for our males and is forbidden to our females; but if it be born dead, they all may share in it.´ He will soon requite them for all that they (falsely) attribute to Allah. He is All-Wise, All-Knowing |
