﴿فَبَدَّلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ قَوۡلًا غَيۡرَ ٱلَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمۡ فَأَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِجۡزٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَظۡلِمُونَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 162]
﴿فبدل الذين ظلموا منهم قولا غير الذي قيل لهم فأرسلنا عليهم رجزا﴾ [الأعرَاف: 162]
| Dr Kamal Omar Then those among them who transgressed (the limits), changed the word to other than what was told to them. So We sent over them Rijz (filth and punishment) from the direction of the sky because of what they had been doing in transgression |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar But among those who did wrong, they substituted a saying other than what was said to them. Then, We sent wrath from heaven because they had been doing wrong |
| Dr Munir Munshey But the evildoers among them changed the words (of the prayers) to something other than what was prescribed to them. Thus, We lobbed a torment upon them from the sky, because of the wrongs they had wrought |
