﴿لَهُم مِّن جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٞ وَمِن فَوۡقِهِمۡ غَوَاشٖۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 41]
﴿لهم من جهنم مهاد ومن فوقهم غواش وكذلك نجزي الظالمين﴾ [الأعرَاف: 41]
| Dr Kamal Omar For them is a bed of Hell-Fire as well as the shades over them. And thus do We reward the Zalimun |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar For them hell will be their cradling and above them, the overwhelming event. Thus, We give recompense to the ones who are unjust |
| Dr Munir Munshey Hellfire shall be the bed under them; and hellfire shall be their blanket to cover them. This is how We punish the evildoers |
| Edward Henry Palmer It is thus that we reward the sinners; for them is a couch of hell-fire, with an awning above them! thus do we reward the unjust |
| Farook Malik Hell shall be their bed and flames shall be their covering. That is how We shall reward the wrongdoers |
| George Sale Their couch shall be in hell, and over them shall be coverings of fire; and thus will we reward the unjust |
| Maududi Hell shall be their bed, and also above them their covering. Thus do We reward the wrong-doers |
