7:58 Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 58 in Tafsir_English (الإنجليزية تفسير)

Quran with Tafsir_English translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 58 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 8

Physically, the rich soil responds favourably to the fertilizing showers of rain and yields, Allah willing, a rich harvest, -and spiritually, the godly soul' and the clean heart respond favourably to the fertilizing religious conviction and yield piety-, whereas rain physically and admonition spiritually evoke no response in both the bad soil and the evil souls. Thus do We orient Our revelations to circumstances and requirements expounding them to people impelled to the feeling of gratitude and gratefulness

And an ideal land: grows out its vegetation with the permission of its Nourisher-Sustainer, and that which remained infertile: does not grow out (any thing) except negligible in amount and inferior in quality. In this way We scatter the Ayaat for a nation who give thanks
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar
As for the good land, its plants go forth with permission of its Lord. While, as for what was bad, it goes forth not but scantily. Thus, We diversify the signs for a folk who give thanks
Dr Munir Munshey
By the will of Allah, the good and fertile land grows crops and plants with ease. But the bad and barren land barely grows anything. This is how We display Our signs repeatedly for a grateful nation
Edward Henry Palmer
And the good land brings forth its vegetation by the permission of its Lord; and that which is vile brings forth naught but scarcity. Thus do we turn about our signs for a people who are grateful
Farook Malik
The good soil yields rich produce by the permission of Allah and barren soil yields nothing but poor produce. Thus do We explain Our revelations over and over again for those who pay thanks
George Sale
From a good country shall its fruit spring forth abundantly, by the permission of its Lord; but from the land which is bad, it shall not spring forth otherwise than scarcely. Thus do We explain the signs of divine providence unto people who are thankful
Maududi
As for the good land, vegetation comes forth in abundance by the command of its Lord, whereas from the bad land, only poor vegetation comes forth. Thus do We expound Our signs in diverse ways for a people who are grateful
