﴿إِنَّمَا يَعۡمُرُ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَلَمۡ يَخۡشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَۖ فَعَسَىٰٓ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَن يَكُونُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡمُهۡتَدِينَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 18]
﴿إنما يعمر مساجد الله من آمن بالله واليوم الآخر وأقام الصلاة وآتى﴾ [التوبَة: 18]
| Dr Kamal Omar Definitely it is, that he visits and maintains the Mosques of Allah who Believed in Allah and the Last Day, and established As-Salat and paid up Az-Zakat and he feared not but Allah. Then quite possible that those people may become out of the guided ones |

| Maududi It only becomes those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish Prayer and pay Zakah and fear none but Allah to visit and tend the mosques of Allah. These are likely to be guided aright |
