﴿ذَٰلِكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ نَقُصُّهُۥ عَلَيۡكَۖ مِنۡهَا قَآئِمٞ وَحَصِيدٞ ﴾
[هُود: 100]
﴿ذلك من أنباء القرى نقصه عليك منها قائم وحصيد﴾ [هُود: 100]
Mohammad Habib Shakir This is an account of (the fate of) the towns which We relate to you; of them are some that stand and (others) mown down |
Mohammad Shafi This is an account, We relate to you, of the peoples that inhabited this earth. Of them are some that still exist and others, destroyed |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall That is (something) of the tidings of the townships (which were destroyed of old). We relate it unto thee (Muhammad). Some of them are standing and some (already) reaped |
Mufti Taqi Usmani That is a part of stories of the towns that We narrate to you. Some of them are still standing, and (some are) eradicated like a harvested field |
