﴿قَالَ لَوۡ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمۡ قُوَّةً أَوۡ ءَاوِيٓ إِلَىٰ رُكۡنٖ شَدِيدٖ ﴾
[هُود: 80]
﴿قال لو أن لي بكم قوة أو آوي إلى ركن شديد﴾ [هُود: 80]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir He said: Ah! that I had power to suppress you, rather I shall have recourse to a strong support |
| Mohammad Shafi He said, "I wish I had power to resist you, or had recourse to a strong support |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall He said: Would that I had strength to resist you or had some strong support (among you) |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani He said, “Would that I had some power over you, or could seek refuge in a strong support!” |
| Muhammad Asad Exclaimed [Lot]: "Would that I had the strength to defeat you, or that I could lean upon some mightier support |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali He said, "If only I had power against you, or had my abode valiant support |
| Muhammad Sarwar He said, "Would that I had the power (to overcome you) or could seek strong protection |

| Mustafa Khattab Allah Edition He responded, “If only I had the strength ˹to resist you˺ or could rely on a strong supporter.” |

| N J Dawood He said: ‘Would that I had power enough to overcome you, or could find refuge in a tower of strength!‘ |
