﴿قَالَ هِيَ رَٰوَدَتۡنِي عَن نَّفۡسِيۚ وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٞ مِّنۡ أَهۡلِهَآ إِن كَانَ قَمِيصُهُۥ قُدَّ مِن قُبُلٖ فَصَدَقَتۡ وَهُوَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 26]
﴿قال هي راودتني عن نفسي وشهد شاهد من أهلها إن كان قميصه﴾ [يُوسُف: 26]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir He said: She sought to make me yield (to her); and a witness of her own family bore witness: If his shirt is rent from front, she speaks the truth and he is one of the liars |
| Mohammad Shafi He [Joseph] said, "It was she who tried to seduce me." And a witness from her own family said, "If his shirt is torn off from the front, she speaks the truth and he is the liar |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (Joseph) said: She it was who asked of me an evil act. And a witness of her own folk testified: If his shirt is torn from before, then she speaketh truth and he is of the liars |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani He (Yūsuf) said, “It was she who tried to seduce me.” And a witness from her family observed that if his shirt was ripped from the front side, then she is true and he is a liar |
| Muhammad Asad [Joseph] exclaimed: "It was she who sought to make me yield myself unto her!" Now one of those present, a member of her own household, suggested this: If his tunic has been torn from the front, then she is telling the truth, and he is a liar |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali He said, "She, (really) she solicited me. "And a witness of her family bore witness, "In case his shirt has been ripped from the forepart, then she has (spoken) sincerely, and he is (one) of the liars |
| Muhammad Sarwar Joseph said, "It was she who tried to seduce me." Someone from the household in confirmation of Joseph's statement said, "If his shirt it torn from the front, she has spoken the truth and he is lying |

| Safi Kaskas [Joseph] said, "It was she who tried to seduce me." A member of her household suggested that, "If his shirt has been torn from the front, then she is telling the truth and he is a liar |
