Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 120 - البَقَرَة - Page - Juz 1
﴿وَلَن تَرۡضَىٰ عَنكَ ٱلۡيَهُودُ وَلَا ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمۡۗ قُلۡ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰۗ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعۡتَ أَهۡوَآءَهُم بَعۡدَ ٱلَّذِي جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِيّٖ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 120]
﴿ولن ترضى عنك اليهود ولا النصارى حتى تتبع ملتهم قل إن هدى﴾ [البَقَرَة: 120]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And the Jews will not be pleased with you, nor the Christians until you follow their religion. Say: Surely Allah's guidance, that is the (true) guidance. And if you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, you shall have no guardian from Allah, nor any helper |
| Mohammad Shafi And the Jews shall not be pleased with you, and nor shall the Christians, till you follow their creed.h Say, "Allah's guidance — it is theh Guidance!" And, if you were to follow their desires, after what has come to you of knowledge, shall there be none to patronise you, nor anyone to help you, against Allah |

And indeed in case you ever (closely) follow their prejudices, after the (share of) knowledge that has come to you, in no way will you have from Allah either a constant Patron or a ready Vindicator |
