Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 35 - البَقَرَة - Page - Juz 1
﴿وَقُلۡنَا يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ ٱسۡكُنۡ أَنتَ وَزَوۡجُكَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَكُلَا مِنۡهَا رَغَدًا حَيۡثُ شِئۡتُمَا وَلَا تَقۡرَبَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 35]
﴿وقلنا ياآدم اسكن أنت وزوجك الجنة وكلا منها رغدا حيث شئتما ولا﴾ [البَقَرَة: 35]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And We said: O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the garden and eat from it a plenteous (food) wherever you wish and do not approach this tree, for then you will be of the unjust |
| Mohammad Shafi And We said, "O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the Garden. And eat and live therein, both of you, in ease and affluence, wherever you wish. But come not near this tree, for then you both will be among the wicked |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And We said: O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and eat ye freely (of the fruits) thereof where ye will; but come not nigh this tree lest ye become wrong-doers |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani And We said, “O ’Ādam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise; and eat at pleasure wherever you like, but do not go near this tree, otherwise you will be (counted) among the transgressors.” |
| Muhammad Asad And We said: "O Adam, dwell thou and thy wife in this garden, and eat freely thereof, both of you, whatever you may wish; but do not approach this one tree, lest you become wrongdoers |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your spouse in the Garden, and eat (Both of you) thereof opulently where you decide to, and (both of) you should not draw near this tree, (or) then you (both) would be of the unjust |
| Muhammad Sarwar We told Adam to stay with his spouse (Eve) in the garden and enjoy the foods therein, but not to go near a certain tree lest he become one of the transgressors |
| Muhammad Taqi Usmani And We said, .O ‘Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise; and eat at pleasure wherever you like, but do not go near this tree, otherwise you will be (counted) among the transgressors |

| Safi Kaskas We said, "Adam, live with your spouse in the Heavenly Garden, and eat freely whatever you want, but do not come near this tree, or you will be unjust |
