﴿قَالَ بَلۡ فَعَلَهُۥ كَبِيرُهُمۡ هَٰذَا فَسۡـَٔلُوهُمۡ إِن كَانُواْ يَنطِقُونَ ﴾
[الأنبيَاء: 63]
﴿قال بل فعله كبيرهم هذا فاسألوهم إن كانوا ينطقون﴾ [الأنبيَاء: 63]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir He said: Surely (some doer) has done it; the chief of them is this, therefore ask them, if they can speak |
| Mohammad Shafi Abraham said, "Nay, it is this one — the chief of them — that has done it. So ask them, if they can speak coherently |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall He said: But this, their chief hath done it. So question them, if they can speak |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani He said, “Rather, this is done by this chief of theirs. So, ask them if they can speak.” |
| Muhammad Asad He answered: “Nay, it was this one, the biggest of them, that did it: but ask them [yourselves] - provided they can speak!” |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali He said, "No indeed, it was this great one of them that performed it; so, ask them in case they (can) pronounce (a word) |
