﴿كُتِبَ عَلَيۡهِ أَنَّهُۥ مَن تَوَلَّاهُ فَأَنَّهُۥ يُضِلُّهُۥ وَيَهۡدِيهِ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ ﴾
[الحج: 4]
﴿كتب عليه أنه من تولاه فأنه يضله ويهديه إلى عذاب السعير﴾ [الحج: 4]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Against him it is written down that whoever takes him for a friend, he shall lead him astray and conduct him to the chastisement of the burning fire |
| Mohammad Shafi Against such a one, it is ordained that he/she shall lead astray — and guide towards the punishment of the Fire — whoever takes him/her for a very close friend (wali) |
