Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Mu’minun ayat 41 - المؤمنُون - Page - Juz 18
﴿فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ غُثَآءٗۚ فَبُعۡدٗا لِّلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[المؤمنُون: 41]
﴿فأخذتهم الصيحة بالحق فجعلناهم غثاء فبعدا للقوم الظالمين﴾ [المؤمنُون: 41]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir So the punishment overtook them in justice, and We made them as rubbish; so away with the unjust people |
| Mohammad Shafi So the divine punishment caught up with them fairly and squarely. And We turned them into rubble. And so, the wicked people perished |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall So the (Awful) Cry overtook them rightfully, and We made them like as wreckage (that a torrent hurleth). A far removal for wrongdoing folk |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani So the Cry seized them according to the true (promise), and We turned them in to scum. So, away with the wrongdoing people |
| Muhammad Asad And then the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them, justly and unavoidably, and We caused them to become as the flotsam of dead leaves and the scum borne on the surface of a torrent: and so - away with those evildoing folk |
