﴿أَمۡ تَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡ خَرۡجٗا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيۡرٞۖ وَهُوَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ ﴾
[المؤمنُون: 72]
﴿أم تسألهم خرجا فخراج ربك خير وهو خير الرازقين﴾ [المؤمنُون: 72]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance |
| Mohammad Shafi Or, do you ask them for recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is the best! And He is the best of those who provide sustenance |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani Or is it that you (O Prophet) demand remuneration from them? But the remuneration from your Lord is best, and He is the best of all givers |
| Muhammad Asad Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali Or (even) do you ask them for tribute? Yet the (bounteous) tribute of your Lord is more charitable, (i.e., better) and He is The Most Charitable of providers |
| Muhammad Sarwar (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider |
