Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Furqan ayat 19 - الفُرقَان - Page - Juz 18
﴿فَقَدۡ كَذَّبُوكُم بِمَا تَقُولُونَ فَمَا تَسۡتَطِيعُونَ صَرۡفٗا وَلَا نَصۡرٗاۚ وَمَن يَظۡلِم مِّنكُمۡ نُذِقۡهُ عَذَابٗا كَبِيرٗا ﴾
[الفُرقَان: 19]
﴿فقد كذبوكم بما تقولون فما تستطيعون صرفا ولا نصرا ومن يظلم منكم﴾ [الفُرقَان: 19]
Mohammad Habib Shakir So they shall indeed give you the lie in what you say, then you shall not be able to ward off or help, and whoever among you is unjust, We will make him taste a great chastisement |
Mohammad Shafi They have certainly then given the lie to all your pleas and you can neither ward off punishment nor get any help. And whoever of you has committed evil, he/she shall be made by Us to taste great punishment |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Thus they will give you the lie regarding what ye say, then ye can neither avert (the doom) nor obtain help. And whoso among you doeth wrong, We shall make him taste great torment |
Mufti Taqi Usmani Thus they will refute you in what you say, and you will not be able to repulse (the punishment,) or to receive help. Whoever commits injustice from among you, We will make him taste a painful punishment |
Muhammad Asad [Thereupon God will say:] “And now, they [whom you regarded as divine] have given the lie to all your [past] assertions, and you can neither ward off [your punishment] nor obtain any succour! For, whoever of you has committed [such] evil, him shall We cause to taste great suffering!” |
Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali able either to turn it about or vindicate (yourselves). And whoever of you does injustice, We will make him taste a great torment |
Muhammad Sarwar God will say (to the idolaters), "Your idols have rejected your faith. You cannot avoid their rejection nor can you find any help. Anyone of you who commits injustice will be made to suffer a great torment |

Safi Kaskas [God will say] "They [whom you claimed as divine], are refuting you and what you claim. Hence, you cannot avoid [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice among you, We will make him suffer great punishment |
