﴿فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتۡهَا قَالَتۡ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعۡتُهَآ أُنثَىٰ وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتۡ وَلَيۡسَ ٱلذَّكَرُ كَٱلۡأُنثَىٰۖ وَإِنِّي سَمَّيۡتُهَا مَرۡيَمَ وَإِنِّيٓ أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ ﴾
[آل عِمران: 36]
﴿فلما وضعتها قالت رب إني وضعتها أنثى والله أعلم بما وضعت وليس﴾ [آل عِمران: 36]
Mohammad Habib Shakir So when she brought forth, she said: My Lord! Surely I have brought it forth a female-- and Allah knew best what she brought forth-- and the male is not like the female, and I have named it Marium, and I commend her and her offspring into Thy protection from the accursed Shaitan |
Mohammad Shafi And when she delivered a female child, she exclaimed, "It's a female that I have delivered, my Lord!" — And Allah knew what she had delivered and the male is not like the femaleh— "And I do name her Mary and I entrust her protection, and her children's, to You against Satan, the accursed |
