﴿بَلَىٰ قَدۡ جَآءَتۡكَ ءَايَٰتِي فَكَذَّبۡتَ بِهَا وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرۡتَ وَكُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ ﴾
[الزُّمَر: 59]
﴿بلى قد جاءتك آياتي فكذبت بها واستكبرت وكنت من الكافرين﴾ [الزُّمَر: 59]
Mohammad Habib Shakir Aye! My communications came to you, but you rejected them, and you were proud and you were one of the unbelievers |
Mohammad Shafi Yes (you had your chances)! My signs did come to you but you rejected them. And you behaved arrogantly and were among those who suppressed the Truth |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (But now the answer will be): Nay, for My revelations came unto thee, but thou didst deny them and wast scornful and wast among the disbelievers |
Mufti Taqi Usmani No! My verses had reached you, but you called them untrue, and waxed proud, and became of those who disbelieved |
Muhammad Asad [But God will reply:] “Yea, indeed! My messages did come unto thee; but thou gavest them the lie, and wert filled with false pride, and wert among those who deny the truth!” |
Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali Yes indeed! My signs already came to you, yet you cried lies to them, and you waxed proud and you were among the disbelievers |
Muhammad Sarwar God will reply to the soul, "My revelations had certainly come to you but you rejected them. You were puffed-up with pride and you became an unbeliever |
